Did you guys get excited about the Natsuki figure I linked in the last Weekend Rollup? You remember… from this morning. Well Akibajin has the stuff you need in their latest photoshoot. They start with the classic poses. Then they go for some low angle stuff. Then they take her skirt off. So, if you're at work and such a thing would be inappropriate, I have to say… don't follow that link up there.
Just for fun, I'll post two of the pictures after the jump for those of you who just HATE going to those crazy Japanese language sites. Or if you're at work!

I may not have seen the series yet but I might just try and score a few of the figures from the series.
I don't know if it's a manufacturing defect or not but paint transfer between parts seems to be a problem. If I do land some of these figures, I think a matte sealer coat might be necessary to prevent that.

Yeah, it's sad how much your varied the quality of mass produced items can be. I mean you expect a sort of luck of the draw thing when buying individual trading figures, but not PVCs. But then, this is a smaller PVC so the possibility to transfer is higher.
You might even end up needing to do some minor touch up painting before the sealer. just to get definition in those places that seem to be bleeding over, like her hairline and the socks.
Hopefully those are figure specific and don't apply to the whole lot. >.>

"…you expect a sort of luck of the draw thing when buying individual trading figures…"
I know what you mean about overall quality assurance. My last trading figure purchase was packed with TWO right legs in the box. 9_9
Yeah, it looks like some re-painting is in order. I don't really mind though. I do need the painting and airbrushing practice and it's better to cut my teeth on some certain inexpensive PVCs rather than an expensive resin or soft vinyl kit.

Yeah, if nothing else the 1/10 scale figures are pretty cheap. (about USD$22 I think) so that is an awesome things to screw up if you're going to. Haha.
I want to get a resin kit (would be my first) but I am still a little hesitant to drop $90 on a model type I've never put together before. Plus I suck at painting. Well, maybe I suck at painting models. I don't know. But I suck at general painting.
I should check HLJ for a cheap resin kit. >.>

Yeah, I know what you mean. The thought of messing up the build of a pricey kit can put some stress on the builder. But short of dropping the kit on the floor and stepping on it, there aren't too many errors one could make that aren't recoverable.
I'd recommend domestic action figures as fodder for practicing painting techniques. They're relatively inexpensive and plentiful.

I'm sure as soon as I got it out I'd drop it on the floor and step on it. That's my sort of luck with expensive things. But then, I do have some unpainted Genshiken trading figures. I could practice on them.
Painting would be the part to freak me out, though. As soon as I get that meager tax return, maybe I'll get one and some paints and go from there!
