Well, you probably missed Nintendo's press briefing yesterday where they talked about how great their doing and said they loved us all and that sort of thing… well, during that very briefing they showed a bit of demo from the upcoming, and previously unannounced — so far as I know — Pokemon Battle Revolution. The graphics look pretty smooth, but we saw very similar renders coming out of Red Steele when Ubisoft first announced it, so I am personally going to hold off graphical judgment, as it may very well be less nice looking than that, though I will saw that the fact that they aren't rendering a whole hell of a lot could account for poly counts and all that.
Anyway, there is a video clip after the jump. It's rather low res, but it is watchable, and you can hear Iwata Satoru going on and on about how the Wii, and the new Pokemon Battle Revolution game, will make good use of the DS as an external controller for the system, in much the way that the PSP will work with the PS3… minus the real time 3D tie-ins. I imagine it will end up largely being used like the GBA with the Gamecube, based on what Iwata is saying in the video, though he makes it sound more fanciful and new. The clip after the jump is YouTube so it requires the flash plug-in. Just a heads up if you've been living under a rock.

Hey, thanks for posting the update and the video! I am tired of just reading about the Wii and PS3 — I want these systems to be available already!
