This comes as an odd bit of news to me. I guess if I followed US licensing better it might make sense? I don't know. Anyway, Sony Pictures has announced that they plan to release Paprika on DVD in America on October 31st. Why is this odd, do you ask? Well, the movie isn't even going to see release in Japan until next year, and that's a theatrical release. I mean, I'm a long time fan of Sony in general, but is this a nod to the American anime market? Why are they doing it? It doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I will see if I can get into contact with some people at Sony to find something out.

Now that's bit of odd news for the day, never thought that Sony would do something like this. And it's pretty odd, given by the circumstances for Paprika in JP.
