I was worn out this weekend. Not sure why. I'm still feeling worn out. I haven't gotten a chance to just be a slothful ass in the past few weeks. Though I took a long nap this weekend. That's not really the same though. Apprently, not a whole lot happened this weekend. In fact, there's only about… 10 things or so. No matter! I will roll them up anyway! ROLLY ROLLY ROLL! I've got some computer upgrades on the way. This will not improve your site-viewing experience, but it will improve mine. And it's all about me, after all. Rollin' time!
Anime/Manga/Games
- Say, do you guys like the site? I mean, honestly. Do you think it's a good news/entertainment source? I mean, I do. Just sayin'.
- Sony's announced that they will have 27 playable PS3 games at TGS, which starts September 22nd. There is a boring teaser page here.
- If you ever secretly wanted a Pikachu moped, then look no further! Well, maybe a little…
- Age Soft has announced plans for a new Kimi ga Nozomu Eien anime. It'll be called Kimi ga Nozomu Eien: Haruka Route. No other information was given, mostly because the announcement picture was only up for a few hours on Age Soft's site before it got pulled. Not fast enough, Age.
- MAR is getting yet a third anime TV series. Well, I guess you could call it a season. Whatever. It wil be called MAR: Chapter of Cravea and will premiere in November.
- GiTS: SAC - SSS will have its first showing at Shinjuku theater on September 9th. Originally, it was supposed to hit on DVD first, then be aired on TV. Kooky.
- And Haruhi fans might be interested to see Flower Thief's DVD/TV comparison shots of Suzumiya Haruhi DVD 2.
Figures
- Konami announced the second round of Busou Shinki figures. Type Dog, Type Cat and so on. You can check them out over here.
- Orchid Seed announced a lovely Ryomou Shimei figure. Though it's not screen accurate, it looks nice. Busty. Nice skirt-in-the-wind action. She's due out this December for 6,800 yen.
- Musashiya announced a cold cast… Ikkitousen figure. They're billing it as Ryomou, but it's looking more like Kanu to me. I mean, I don't know. Maybe I'm going crazy. Though, it is a shitty figure to begin with. But don't let that stop you. This 1/5 scale figure will run you 20,790 yen this November.
- Leading from that, Musashiya has also decided to grace us with the single ugliest rendering of Narusegawa Naru that I have ever seen. Honestly, I don't know how they're putting something this ugly on the market. The bitch is cross-eyed for fuck sake! But hey! It's a good way to finish off the rollup! A full 1/5 scale serving of concentrated ugly will cost you 20,790 yen this November.

Dunno about the KgnE info, but maybe it was someones brainfart mistake at the company to publish it too early, if they are ever going to do it. We'll see, my friend almost had a heart attack when I showed that pic & told him about it, geez that maniac.
Now that Narusegawa fig is certainly something hideous, somehow it reminds me of those full bodysuit cosplay thingies, eww…
I think I'm going to have nightmares about that.
More than anything I'd like to see coming from Sony is the final specs for the PS3, if they have finished the product & actually have a working/stable unit by now. God I hope they haven't downgraded it from what they promised. Wasn't the "first" model 3.4ghz per core but they can't even keep it cool enough at 3.2ghz. I don't mind having bigger fans/coolant systems on it, but I hope they don't stuff the power unit inside the thing as a reason to downgrade it even more.
And as a final note, yeah I like this site, it offers news and entertainment at the same time, and the news aren't centered around the US industry like some other well known places (well I enjoy reading about US ind. failures and bashing), that's the biggest reason keeping me around here :P

Yeah. Early releases of information happens all the time. It's funny to me how often they are caught by web patrons before they can take the stuff down. Sony's done it a few times with PSP Firmware specs.
I seriously don't know what's going on there. I mean, I don't attach Musashiya with super great figures, but those two are just bad.
Last I heard, regarding the PS3, was that the clock speed was down to 2.8Ghz per logical CPU or whatever. While it will certainly be slower than the 3.4 they said to begin with, it doesn't work the way current gen CPUs do, so it allows it to run a lot faster for parallel computing and stuff like that. Games will really be relying on the talent of their programmers to get the most out of the chip, rather than code tweaks and tricks like previous generations. THe tweaks and tricks will come later, but the initial learning curve will be intelligently handling the "cells." I'm still excited anyway. Looks like games will retail for $60USD though! So that's a plus!
Thanks for the kind words about the site. I mean, the way I see it with the US industry, nothing NEW is happening, so fans are just left behind by waiting for US news. Like, would you know ANYTHING about Haruhi if all that anyone followed was the US? Plus, they do enough advertising on major channels that I don't need to do it for them. And manga comes out quarterly, so anything that anyone is following, they know the next one comes out in three months. That's how I do it. Haha. But yeah, I like to take potshots when they do something stupid, because it's annoying to see them fail so hard when handed a simple formula. Like 4Kids. Their American stuff is fine, buvt what they do to Japanese product is unexcusable. YOU BASTARDS! Plus, American announcements mean effectively dick to the rest of the world (except maybe Canada, which we pretty much own anyway :D)
