Coming up on the 23rd of March, Media Factory is going to answer the dreams of all anime fans ever. Ok, well, you've already read the post title, so you likely know that that's a lie. Media Factory is releasing a boxed set of the Rahxephon anime on DVD along with a copy of the Rahxephon movie on HD DVD. It'll be high def, duh. Personally, I prefer Blu-Ray (PS3 and all) but what can you do. I'm not being a whore this time, but if you want to set up an auto reminder, then sign up for an ikimashou account and head over to the calendar and add an alert! IT'S EASY DAMNIT! USE IT!

Personally, I think the movie is UTTER CRAP so I couldn't care less about it being HD, but what got my attention in this boxset after seeing this ANN item and looking into the whole thing, is that these are new TV series DVD authors (hopefully from new, improved masters) on 7 DVDs (as opposed to original 9) and most sites list it with Dolby Digital 5.1 audio (as opposed to original stereo)! Bonus disc also includes the game OVA.
Now if this is all true (new masters + 5.1), hell, or even the 5.1 audio part, then I am seriously considering giving this release a go…
