Well, being as it will be a little while before I get around to the figures, I figured I'd clue you guys in to the keen free full first episode of Reideen that is up and about on the intertrons today. If you're into the sort of AMAZING ACTION that comes along with OLD MECH SHOW REMAKES then you will have neck-hairs on end to know that a DRMed stream of episode one of the aforementioned show is online for your enjoyment. The show hits on WOWOW on March 3rd.
Of course… if DRM and enjoyment don't mix for you… maybe you should hit the jump. I won't say why.

Thanks for posting the video (DRM didn't work for me).
The slow motion CG doesn't look that good for me; it seems flat and it's hard to distinguish Raideen and the enemy monsters (yes, that should be "RAideen" and not "REideen" as they've spelled it. They're saying rAideen… why do they have to spell it that way?). Maybe if they had kept the original colors (red, blue, and yellow) for Raideen, it would be clearer to make out what he looks like. With the all gold, you can't distinguish his body parts clearly and he looks rather drab. The animation quality for the rest is quite good; I hope they can keep up that quality throughout. Overall, the first episode seemed rather slow moving… it could turn off some viewers.

Yeah. I'd typed Raideen a few times before, in older posts. Oh well, I guess. WHAT'S IN A NAME?!?!
Also, it should be noted that I had to cut about 37 seconds out of the show (boring, slow mech fight) to fit in the requirements that DailyMotion set forth. What can you do? NOTHING IS WHAT!
