While I cannot claim to have ever been a Mon-Siuer BOME fan, I can say that I've also never so much had a problem with his generally boring, but decently carved figures. Today, that changed. Entry number twenty-two into the book of BOME is one Tousaka Rin. You may know her from your tsundere wet dreams. Why do I have an issue with this figure? Well, the smooth parts are smooth and the folded bits are folded, but that's about where the quality stops. The paint looks good, let me say that before I start into this thing. Firstly, and most shockingly to me, her ears are big to a point of distraction. I don't recall Rin to be the type who could receive broadcasts from space with her head. Fix it. Second, over half of her body is made up of her disproportionate lower half. Her legs look entirely too thick, and the bottom half itself is just far too long. Her torso comes off looking stubby and it's weird. I don't like it. I suppose some people will claim it's the angle or something, but they said the same thing about that awkwardly squatty Mai from GSC all those months ago. And lastly, the skirt looks dumb. There you go. You can judge for yourself. Out in June for 4,725 yen.

Holy bunghole, those ears look like something out of a wringer. The most thing I hate about figures are things like this, defects that grab the eye focus right away.
I had known BOME for decent, good-looking, even if little unimaginative but these latest additions are making me think otherwise.
Butt-ugly, and the only decent points on this are the display base and paint.

I like the base…and that's about it.
There have been some BOME figures I've liked (and even bought) in the past despite their static poses, but this leaves a lot to be desired; it looks like some kind of alien android version of Rin.

I like her hair.
…that's about it. To me the most distracting element is her face; her eyes feel too far apart and the line of her nose almost divides her face in half.
I'll stick with my EnterBrain Rin (Still my favorite sculpt of her so far).

BOME sucks….i've only liked his Natsume Aya (manga colour) and even with that figure the eyes look lifeless
i rank him up there with sucky Yamashita Shunya….NOT to be confused with the sculptor who makes Yamashita's work look half decent

I was a bit worried I flew off too far in the hate direction and everyone would be pissed at me. WHAT A WONDERFUL READER BASE I HAVE! :D

OMG! Rin Tosaka! My favorite character!
But I don't like the figure's face. -_-
