Well, I certainly do love a good movie film. What that has to do with this news is up for speculation, but I'm going to go ahead and post it anyway. Shin SOS Dai Tokyo Tankentai is going to premiere in Japanese theaters on May 19th. Are you quivering with excitement? Yeah, me either. But maybe this next piece will give you the trouser funk.
Fans of Naruto, who I hear call themselves Narutards and enjoy a rousing afternoon of homosexual intercourse, will be excited to hear that a fourth Naruto movie has been announced and will hit Japanese theaters on August 4th. Looks like it is shaping up to be a real nail biter as well.
Well, I would say I'm having a good day, but I came in this morning to notice a GANGRAPE of people muscling in on my territory. Easily 8 billion other people had already hit the Genshiken story… and WHAT IS THIS?!?! ET TU CHOO-TAN?!?! That plucky bastard totally stole my calendar traffic! Why the fuck would I link that? Well, because I have a special place in my heart for D-bo. We are comrades, not enemies. And it will be a while before I get a chance to get in my planned upgrades to ikiKOYOMI (which is a far better name). But still! I must submit to you, Sir Choo of Dannington, that your site is becoming a small bit of a clusterfuck, and maybe some UI management is in order. Also, I'll be counting on your support for some maybe cross site integration when I get SUPER SECRET FEATURE started, since you have all them sexy features. ON WITH THE ROLLUP NOW!
Anime/Manga/Games
Well, don't say I'm not at least TRYIN to hit the games side of things a bit more. I bring the ikimashou faithful a tasty fishing simulator/eroge called Chou Kanojo. Ahhh, I can see the delicious roe covered sexcapades now. Scales flying everywhere. Yessir. The sample second has some fun nudity for those of us who are SO into that.
Free Anime: You can hit the Romeo x Juliet site and see the full first episode for free. No there are no subtitles. Alternatively, you could save yourself 800 pains in the ass and just hit Tokyo Toshokan for a torrent of the raw OR subbed episode. I think it would help us all.
Geneon picked up Zero no Tsukaima for the US. Yes, say goodbye to tsundere hotness and say hello to stale, flatly read, prissy American bitch. BECAUSE THAT'S THE ONLY WAY TO DUB IT, ISN'T IT?! Just stop dubbing anime and I will support your industry, America. I think it's a fair trade.
Figures
HEY! You 1/4 scale Mikuru psychos! FREEing finally admitted that they were making a Haruhi. You can see her and her terrifying pelvis at their official site. She hits this June for 9,800 yen. Fun for the whole family.
Oh, and good news out of MaxFactory, their Pachira is done and should be shipping out to people who know the difference between loli and pettanko this week. Or that's the hope anyway.
And probably more important from the same blog post above, the second run of Max's Haruhi are in and should ship out this week. Cross your fingers people. It's the only hope you have.
Well, that's it for this weekend. Remember kids, defecting to other sites makes you a huge asshole. Don't be an asshole. And HEY WORDPRESS, I am made at you for making me fix my XMLRPC to not be so gay every time I upgrade. Stop it.
Holy god damn!! The news we've all been waiting for for so long has finally come! The bullshit is over and Genshiken is getting a second TV anime season. That's right, not OVA bullshit. Though, judging from the post on the MoonPhase boards, it looks like it will at least be a continuation of the OVA. BAH! Who cares (considering that the OVA follows the manga more or less anyway)! It's all celebrate and show our love and support for Ogiue-tan! The show is set to hit this fall, and that's all the information they're offering up as of yet. Bastards. Finally my blog's first post has been made real! FINALLY! Hooray!
Fellow Max Factory fanfags, I am happy to bring to you a MaxFactory blog update that chronicles some lovely upcoming figures. First up is the instantly known Shana from Shakugan no Shana. Max has actually done a good job making the translucent hair work. She looks good, I must say. For a little bit more of a roundabout view, be sure to check GSC's Wonhobby Life News Watch for today. Second on their site is Ousaka (Osaka) Taiga from Tora Dora! Tenori Taigaa (Palm sized Tiger). She looks good, and HEY! She's palm sized! WHAT ABOUT THAT! The pose is taken from the cover of volume one of the light novels. Anyway, any inaccuracies can go to hell. I do my best, damnit. Oh, and I didn't see an release dates.
I will hit the other three figures on Monday since they are sort of ugly. Except this one with noody boobies. It's has boobies. Therefore, it must be good. Also, I'd like to stop before I make any more embarrassing gender-based mistakes. I'm just saying. If I'd seen more than a face shot of the ambiguously named Mello, I wouldn't have made that mistake. God damn drawings. Always so tricky.
Well, as I have casually mentioned before, I am spoiled on 1/6 scale figures, and cold casts are quickly running their way up my list for their sturdy nature. As such, this extremely nice looking 1/6 scale cold cast of Black Lagoon's Revy from New Line is hitting on just about every thing I would want in a Revy figure. If the single scanned picture isn't lying to me, I have to say that this figure exudes the sort of intense otenba aura that makes Revy so uniquely sexy. While trying to keep this as objectively artful as possible, I have to say that I get the honest feeling from this sculpt that Revy sort of likes you watching her. See, now I sound like a freak. Thanks, New Line. This might hit my buy list and I suggest that you stow away 14,490 yen and pick her up in July.
Only one scanned magazine ad for this one. I am hoping that when further shots hit, I won't be disappointed like I was with that 1/6 Mint. Don't do it to me!!
Did Rozen Maiden cause you to develop a "thing" for doll joints? Does that make you a sick, sick person? Do you call Tom Green just to scream "desudesudesudesudesu" at him and then hang up? Well, I think I might be able to interest you in Alter's latest PVC creation. It's a quality sculpted, 190mm tall PVC of Shinku from Rozen Maiden ~traumend~ (like it fucking matters which anime it's from). Not much to be said about this one. I think it'd be a given for Shinku or Rozen Maiden fans. Might also consider it just for the quality and because you like ladies who seem to beckon thee come hither. You know. Hither. She hits in August for 6,800 yen. WALLET ATTACK CHANCE!
Hit the jump for the usual set of pictures. Nothing upskirt. Prudes.
Well, not having watched DeathNote, or read it, I was unaware that there were scantily clad lasses with snake skin coverings. Such things please me. Still, this Amane Misa figure from June Planning is failing to draw me in. Well, let me be frank. She looks a bit stupid. From what I hear, that is sort of her thing. I'm more for crazy looking chicks like Mello (who is a guy. -_- YOU SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU DON'T DO RESEARCH?!?!). Good and crazy. Anyway, the body is fine on this one, looks like. But the face… yeah, like I said, sort of stupid looking and doesn't capture the character design much at all. If that's not a problem for you, then you can help yourself this June for 7,140 yen.
TAF, as we all know, is a haven for wonderfully long and involved trailers. We all know that right? The only problem is that we end up with a lot of shitty cams with bad audio. Well, the problem gets a little less widespread today with the streaming release of extra length TAF trailers for both Denna Coil and The Skull Man. The Denna Coil PV clocks in at just over five and a half minutes with The Skull Man producing an impressive 180 seconds (3 minutes, people. Come on.) The streams are pretty high quality, not sure what DailyMotion will do to them, so the direct links will follow. Denna Coil is here, and The Skull Man is over here.
Hit the jump for the DM versions of each. Denna Coil hits May 12th and The Skull Man will air starting on the 28th of this month. Oh, and as a quick note, the anime adaptation of Peach-Pit's Zombie-Loan has a webpage now. It even has a sexy (flash) PV online. WATCH IT HERE. (Oh, PV and CM both basically mean trailer/commercial. PV is for promotional video and CM is commercial message. Now you know.)
Well, Kite fans need not wait any longer to get some information about the new Kite OVA Kite Liberator. The first good news comes in the form of staffing. Umetsu Yasuomi, the original Kite creator, is doing damn near EVERYTHING for this OVA. Writing, direction, etc, etc, etc. Beyond that, the character designs are sexy, as is the premise. Noguchi Monaka, 15 years old, is a quiet high school girl with some minor vision problems (YES GLASSES!) but when the sun goes down (or possible just whenever she feels like it) she swaps over to contacts, changes up the hair and BAM! She's a contract killer. Named, uninspiringly, Shi no Tenshi (Angel of Death). Still, looks good, and the official site is up, so enjoy it this fall when it hits.
Well, looks like a pair of live-action films are in the works based off of some manga. Is this important? No, not in the least. I mean, the sort of manga that gets made into a live-action piece usually follows a couple of genre lines and things like that. Rule one: Is it baseball, horror, or viable as a real world thing? MAKE IT! Rule two: Will it be a shoddy under funded production? Yes?! MAKE IT! Anyway, Crows Zero, being a prequel to the delinquent-based Crows manga is getting a movie, as is, *shock*, the baseball drama Captain. Try to hold back your enthusiasm. If you really want a good delinquent movie, you should skip the shit and watch Kishiwada Shounen Gurentai. It's really a brilliant movie. And I'm not talking about the shit follow up films (one of which happens to be by Miike, who is doing Crows.). It has to be this one. Has to be! Finding a copy is nearly impossible though. Try looking for Kishiwada Bad Boys, as it is more commonly known in the American film circuit. It'll also help avoiding title confusion.
