You know, the psycho bitch with the knife and the eyebrows? Yeah, Max Factory is making Asakura Ryoko. Does she look good? Well, of course she does. It's a Max Factory sculpt! IDIOT! She's a bit fat in the face. And crazy. She's 200mm tall and she'll hit the stores in September for the low, low price of 4,800 yen.
Be sure to hit the jump for a good five pictures. THEY WILL MAKE YOU JIZZ ALL OVER! That's inappropriate.

Haha, well good luck with that. I'm sure there's a Ryoko fan out there somewhere who has a yuki they don't want. No idea how easy they will be to find though. Haha.

Asakura came rushing in like a freight train. GoodSmile, HobbyStock/AmiAmi, and HLJ not long after. They didn't even really give me time to let it sink in that they were releasing another Melancholy figure. A successful bull rush followed by a natural 20 on a Sleight of Hand check to snatch my wallet. :(
I jumped for a second when I saw that HLJ had a pre-order for a GoodSmile Suzumiya Haruhi. Only I misread and it actually said Suzumiya Haruka, and they had misfiled it under Melancholy. I need to get more sleep.

Well, Asakura has a it's own fanbase if not anything else. When the my RSS reader decided to fetch the HLJ update, pre-orders were already sold out. Shitty luck but oh well.

It was very surprising to see HLJ release a figure for preorder at the same time as other stores, since usually they start their preorders several days after. In fact, their Max Factory Kureha (Shining Tears) started today as well, when it has been up in HobbyStock and HobbySearch since last week.
A friend was able to place our preorder for Asakura when he was looking if HLJ finally put Kureha out. If it wasn't because of him, I would have missed the preorder. Now let's hope that the order made it on time!

it would be less of a straight trade and more of me selling the 2nd Ryoko on ebay and taking that money and buy a Yuki on ebay or a reputable store that has a Yuki. I am predecting a price of of about $80 for amax Yuki not including shipping and tax.

Let me be honest and say that I really didn't expect Ryoko to attract this much attention… or sell that fast. God help us when Tsuruya comes along. The world might explode.
I got my Kureha order, and that's all I care about. I have fallen sort of out of the Haruhi psychosis. Maybe that's just me. After getting my MaxFac Himawari, I am all hard up for her and the general cast of that show.

Anyways, is there any information how Max Factory is going to handle the Haruhi figures after Haruhi? Are they going to follow the multiple batch, limited count per batch system or simply a single, big batch? Its hard for me to believe that many other Max Factory figures (Kureha for starters) keep their preorders open for so long compared to the Haruhi figures exclusively because the Haruhi figures sell that fast. This is also the first time HLJ closes a Max Factory Haruhi figure preorder on the same day. I am pretty sure the other three figures last at least a whole day.

Mana, I fixed your typo. Actually, Mikuru hit in under a day, I think. Or close to it. (I didn't even remember getting in on the Mikuru preorder, but I did. haha.) As for the multi-batch thing, that will be a MaxFac decision. I mean, they haven't done a second Mikuru run. I MEAN COME ON!

I have both MaxFax Haurhi and Yuki pre-order form Rightstuff. hopfully Rightstuf will come through otherwise i am looking to pay some big bucks form other stores and ebay.
i will be looking forward to any news form this site in regard to Fang-Tan and Loli-in-a-bag. I will be hitting HLJ as soon as i get word and this time i will order 3 or 4 of them.

I'd say HLJ being behind is a good thing =) That way, Hobby Stock and Hobby Search (and amiami for those who can access it – I can't) work like an alert system to be ready for HLJ. Haruhi, Mikuru and Yuki were all gone on both stores by the time I saw their preorder online, but managed to place the preorder on HLJ thanks to the previous notice. Otherwise I doubt I would have made it to Haruhi's April batch.

Well, I hope MaxFac would do another batch of Ryoko as it seems it sold out pretty fast and the demand is high. Well, at least I got Kureha, I pray to the PVC Deities HLJ gets more supplies than expected as I'm not that fond of steering out of my regular stores.

Looks like HLJ is taking pre-orders again because I got mine in. :) My September is already filled with Ryoko, Kureha, and Alicia. It's a Max Factory month…. and a damn expensive one too. O_O

Well, i'm hoping for another batch of Yuki. Missed out on it when i had the chance to preorder at Hobby Search as i wanted to get some other figurines together with HLJ (since they can group items together and keep them for much longer). Speaking of which, what's taking so long for HLJ to let ppl preorder the second batch of Yuki :(

I think HLJ already did a second run of Yuki. So, really it will be up to Max to do another run after Yuki is released (end of June, I think)

Hey guys, just wondering if there's any news or word about Max Factory (or any other companies) making a Kyon or Itsuki figures. I really want the full SOS Brigade, since all 5 are so important.
