I wonder… how many of you guys got any of the other FREEing 1/4 ladies from Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu? And if you did, were you all just doing it to fill the Yuki-less void in your life? I'm willing to bet you were. Not much to say about her. She looks about as good as the others. Her face maybe looks a bit older. I do like the body sculpt. Nice breast size. Probably a good idea to jump quick on this one. Stat time! She's 1/4 scale, 420mm tall, and will be out in November for 11,800 yen.
Hit the jump for five pictures. One of them is a group shot.
Jeez, what a slow trickle of trailers today. Rather, they were around, but I have meetings and shit like that to attend, so there you go. Next up on the list of trailers is Night Wizard, the anime adaptation of a table top RPG. The animation looks pretty good, and those nerds have some badass arm weapons, so I dare say this could turn out better than bad. I'll obviously hold off judgment until I can get a proper couple of episodes stashed away. Hopefully it'll at least help pass the time.
Well, of course I'd be remiss if I only posted that spectacular KnJ trailer and called it a day. Especially with one or two other trailers sitting around online that you guys might want to watch. First up is a streaming Flash trailer for the upcoming Nasu: Suitcase no Wataridori OVA. If you click on the little elephant below the video, there are more trailers. If you want the, that is. No pressure. It hits the streets on October 24th.
Secondly, and inexplicably, there is a Kara no Kyoukai trailer that I couldn't get to work in any browser. WHY!? Because it requires some random set of extensions and plugins and I'm not going to be doing that, thanks. Feel free to try your luck at it. I doubt it's worth the effort. Due out in December.
You know, I don't think anything really gets the ol' blood pumping quite like a good Kodomo no Jikan news post. And this one will certainly get the blood pumping this early in the morning. A Kodomo no Jikan OVA PV has been put online on the KnJ website. The site describes the trailer as unfit for broadcast, so that's certainly a plus. The first episode of the OVA is already floating around online, though I don't know if KnJ volume four is out quite yet. All that's well and good, though. It'll find its way to those who want it soon enough (read: me), so in the mean time just enjoy the trailer.
The stream is over this way, and the DailyMotion is in the normal spot. Hit the jump and give yourself a little early morning treat. Man, Genshiken yesterday, and KnJ today. The quality trailers keep rolling in. Seriously, this trailer is just great.
Well, I'll keep this one short and sweet. There's a fourth trailer online for the Armored Trooper Votoms: Pailsen Files anime. The minute and twelve second trailer shows off some middling 3D models and all those other things that make mecha lovers gasm all over their dinette sets. The opening does a… you know… Normandy beaches thing. I dunno, it's a pretty boring trailer. Action packed, but boring. HOW DO THEY DO IT?!
You can grab the stream here, and the DM is up after the break. It's out on October 26th.
Shougakukan's website has announce that two of its Weekly Young Jump manga titles are set to be made into live-action films scheduled to hit theaters sometime in 2008. The lucky two are Kurosagi, which follows… Kurosagi has he goes after a group that targeted his family. This one already had a TV show, so most of the people are coming on for the movie. Ikigami is about a policy where random lower class citizens are assigned an ikigami, which means they have 24 hours to live. SOUNDS UPBEAT! Anyway, Kurosagi is out summer of 2008 and Ikigami will hit in the fall of 2008. Aaaaannnd… that's about it.
The Genshiken official anime website has been updated for the new season and shows off the new character designs and has some fun bits about the OP/ED and the cast. It's looking like there might be hope for the Genshiken anime, despite the rather poor showing in the OVA. The trailer certainly gives me hope for a new world. A world where Genshiken's anime finally lives up to the manga. Be sure to keep an eye out for Oono figures in the background. Just like how KyoAni snuck BUBBA's Haruhi resin into the background of Konata's room in Lucky Star. GOOD STUFF! Though, why the guys would have Oono figures, especially a bikini and clothes changing one… hard to explain.Anyway, just enjoy the damn trailer. I know I did. You can catch the stream here. It was being finicky, so you might want to stick with the DailyMotion after the jump. The choice is yours.
Edit: Ok, finally fixed that. Fucking Firefox plugin was confusing the shit out of the Wordpress visual editor.
HEY Y'ALL! I'm back. You might have noticed I split the links out into adult links and normal links. YEAH BUDDY! Ok, well, like I said, I want to do some more eroero stuff, or rather, make it possible to cover it on a whim. Well, let's ignore the eroero for now and get on with the figures.Figures
Not gotten enough of Shiranui Mai? No one can get enough of her. It was a trick question. Well, due out this December is a limited release, 1/5 scale Mai. She looks pretty good, might be right up the alley of fans of the more mature looking Mai. Again, she's out in December and she'll run you 14,700 yen.
Ok, Yamato. I'm listening. You say you've got an extremely sexy Poison figure? You say she may look a little… waxy, but she's 275mm tall and 1/6 scale. Anyway, Poison looks pretty damn good. November for 7140 yen. YOU LIKEY?!
Oh man, I've been waiting for Yamashita Shunya's Arisa for a long time. And the Creators' Labo line is bringing her out as the #014 figure in the series. She looks just great, really. I've been pleased with Creators' Labo so far, and this might be a purchase for me, since I have loved Arisa for so long. She's 240mm tall, and she'll be out in November for 7,140 yen.
A slightly eroero Shana figures is on display from Toys Works. She's… in a position more often associated with… ladies of lesser means than herself. She's not happy about it either. Shana comes in two color schemes. A normal red-haired version and then the typical nekomimi version. I can't help but feel like Shana is moving in on Hazuki's territory. STOP IT, SHANA! They're both 5,800 yen in December.
Toys Works has a… wonderfully expressing (wonderfully exposed) Mirim Icsas. Oh, maybe she's a little cock-eyed (from SOME angles, looks ok from others.), but her body is top notch. Toys Works, I salute you for this sexy, sexy figure. Oh and her boobs are squishy. Score. Mirim is out in December for 6,800 yen. I might need something like this to start up my DAISEXY figure collection. It gives +8 to Turning Off Girls skill sets.
Do you need more Louise in your life? Well, Koto has a nice SweetWhite Louise figure due out this December. She might do what you need, though it's not like I know what your tastes are. You can have her whipping you out of bed for 6,090 yen.
I have a Wendy figure, but I think I need MaxFac's clothes changing Wendy. Ok maybe not, but still, I like to see Wendy getting attention. She's special. Also out in January for 6,500 yen. Sort of lame for a 1/8 scale, 100mm tall (sitting) figure.
Here's a nendoroid… Re Mii from… one of the Zoids shows. Looks like GSC is stepping up nendo pricing. She'll be out in January for 4,000 yen.
Here's a Kusugawa Sasara ~sukumizu meido ver.~ figure. From afar she seemed sexy, but then a shot of her face put me off a bit. Nice body though. She's out in December for 6,090 yen.
Got some Melty Blood series figures. Touno Akiha is looking pretty good. Or if you don't want Akiha to show you her version of Heaven, maybe a softer touch is your speed. Kohaku might do you proper. She's 5,880 yen in December. Akiha in January.
I think we've all been waiting for some other Yotsuba&! figures. This time, we've got the lovely next door teen, Ayase Fuuka. She'll do nicely, especially if she's part of a continuing set. She's 185mm tall, she's out in November for 2,940 yen.
Lastly, we've got I-no from Guilty Gear, by way of Max Factory. She is looking wonderful, as you'd expect, and if I was more into her, and didn't have other stuff, she'd be a for sure purchase. Rawr. Here's hoping she casts off. She is out in December for 7,800 yen. Yessir, good stuff. A bit expensive though.
Man, that was a lot of backlog. I'm really regretting all that missed posting. Makes me weep like a little baby. I AM WEEPING PEOPLE! Oh, and if you're worried, individual figure posts will still have images posted. None of that sort of business is changing. Just though you might care to know.
Ok kiddies, considering how I will be doing update for the time being (anime and such during the day, figures at night due to their sometimes ecchi-ness), the rollup is going to be broken up into two parts. Speaking of which, as soon as I find a proper way of filtering out adult material, I plan to try to start covering some of the more… you know… some of the things that fit me personality a bit more. Dunno when exactly I'll get around to it, but I'm sure I will someday. You know how it is in this life. Busy, busy, busy. The list is pretty short, but let's get this half of the party started.
Anime/Manga/Games
Ok, before I start, this isn't Japanese… but still… Heavenly Sword is out this week. Just a reminder for anyone who cared but lost track of the game.
For some reason, and maybe I'm off base here, Tobey McGuire's (Spiderman) production company has picked up the rights for a live action Robotech. No, not Macross. Robotech. Now, while a Robotech movie could avoid being total garbage (maybe), my main concern here is… was Tobey McGuire really that geeky? Yeah, he was Spidey, but poorly and that is just a movie roll. We should be marking our celebrities so that we know who we can trust when they jump all over some property we like. I'm looking at you James Cameron.
Trailer: There's a trailer for the Prism Ark anime online. I was please to see that they released it in true eroge style and slapping an .mpg inside of an LZH file. You can get that open with WinRAR or whatever on your OS of choice. I still uploaded it, just to be nice. So here's your DailyMotion fix.
Oh, this is fun. There's a new Tamagotchi feature film in the works. It's not something you hear much in the US, but them Japs is crazy for Tamagotchi. I'll never understand it. I had a little bird one once. I did stuff normally for about five minutes, then I beat it to death. The film will be called Tamagotchi: Doki Doki! Uchuu no Maigatchi. That is all I care to relate about it.
The upcoming anime Hatara Kiss Maihamu-gumi has had its website put online. If you're having trouble imagining what this should could be about, try imagining an anime version of Chip n' Dale's Rescue Rangers, only step the anthropomorphism up a notch or eight. Yeah, it's pretty terrifying.
Trailer: There's a probably wonder trailer up for Rental Magica. Sadly, the trailer is streaming. FUCK YES! By the fucking power of fucking Greyskull. I got this shit downloaded despite some issues with work port blocking. Rough. Here's the hard-won DailyMotion link for you all.
And that's it for the time being. I think things are working out with the new layout, though I've still yet to hear from gumugum as to whether it's a piece of crap or not. Haha. Look forward to the figure news later tonight.
HEY U GUYZ!!! I spent a good while this weekend working on this new layout you see before you. I know it's beautiful, you know it's beautiful. But hey! I like to hear how beautiful things are that I made. So please leave me a comment to let me know what you think about it. I didn't… you know… go ALL out on ALL the pages, but hey, I still think they all look fine. Maybe the search page needs a little work, but there you go. Also, I have a new logo in the works as well, but clearly, it's not up yet. So, yeah, that's pretty much it. Let me know how you guys like it.
A few things. Yes, I know the posts past the first page don't have the sexy new post header images. I have shit to do, asshole. Ok? Secondly, to those of you who have seen the SUPERSECRETPROJECT, I know it looks like it, that's the point. I am planning to have a consistent look over all the features.
P.S. — I just remembered to mention this, but the site looks less good in IE7, due to AIDS. I will try to fix it up in the near future. Also, it probably looks like total ass in IE6 because if you still run IE6, I have no need for you and you shouldn't breed, etc, etc. Further, PNG Transparency is NECESSARY and you need to use a browser with support for it. Also, I literally don't have access to IE6. I have like… five computers and none of them have IE6 installed anymore. So use Firefox or Opera or something and enjoy the site. Oh and just to be a little design bitch. The site is compliant code (save for any IE filters needed to reduce lameness) and works on three of the four uplevel browsers (FF, Opera, Safari). But IE decided to be gay this time around. Fags.
