- Yumedamaya: The Strange Tale of the Dreamball Dealer is getting made into an anime. How do you feel about that? It's an award winning screenplay after all. It's about an 11-year-old who wants to escape her everyday life. Soooo original.

- Animators and directors in Japan have started a union. Normally, I'm fairly against unions and more in favor of a government putting people before industry, but the likelihood of that happening in Japan is next to nil. So good on the animators! Hopefully they can get a fair wage and the Japanese government will take a few notes. Ah well, it's always the millionaires who bitch first when you start talking about them having slightly less money. POWER TO THE PEOPLE!

Yes! Now I can buy another game I don't have time to play for the PSP! YES! I'm going to buy it too since I wanted it somewhat for the GBA. :( I hear the card battle system is a bit tedious though…Or was that something else.
It's good to hear that the animation community is taking steps. But with anime the way it is now, I wonder if they'll be able to negotiate for much…Animation is pricey to make, but the payback isn't necessarily the same. Raaah, it shouldn't be bottom of the barrel work regardless.

I agree about the inability to raise the bottom line TOO much, but it's one of those situations where people need to accept some scaling back because of the human cost of all they see. Still, someone at those companies has to be making sick money. They never wanted to give it away, though. That's why unions come around.
