- Just when you thought you were done buying Haruhi figures… or when I was anyway, Chara-Ani comes out with this way-too-sexy set of production shots version of Yuki in a bathing suit. Some sort of golden god came down from on high and just fucking stole my future money. GIVE ME BACK MY FUTURE MONEY! She's 140mm tall and 5,040 yen and out in March.
- Also of interest is their catgirl Yuki and Bunny Haruhi ver. 1.5. They're both out in February for 3,980 yen. Anyone else notice the unusually familiar production shot teaser image? Looks like some sexy Big Three production stuff. THIEVES!

- An uninspired pair from Good Smile. First up is Moetan. Really, it's just uninspired. The diorama is nice, but could have been done better, that is to say Moetan could have gotten some attention. 8,800 yen for a neglected Moetan in March.
- Second is, as Gia called it, the least attractive succubus ever. Agreed. Tit diseases are no good. 5,800 yen in February.

Eh, that'll do. You guys can live with that many, right? The other ones are all gay. I promise. Ending on the Kuro no Franco figure is certainly good enough. And she will be the banner. Mmmmm.

Graaaah, I can't be bothered with this Yuki. CAN'T! WON'T! As sexy as Alter is, I'm almost at my limit with Haruhi. I'm still waiting around for the 1/4 Bunny Girl Yuki from Freeing to appear, since HLJ has completely failed to put up a pre-order.
Know of any (reliable) alternative shops for future reference?
I'm still waiting on a Pleinair that'll blow me away.

They get everything the day of or the day after all the other JP sites since they ARE a JP site. YAAAAY!
And I talked myself out of getting that Yuki. At least until the other March figures hit.

You know, I saw the Rocket Girl figure earlier and thought "I bet Randall will like that."
Also: Hubba-hubba for neko!Yuki, and wtf is with the Mizuho figure coming with an SD Mizuho in the same outfit/pose? Weird.

Magical Amber: a (comical) alter ego of Kohaku from Tsukihime. The design comes from the Character Material book Type-Moon released in some comiket. Orchid Seed did the same with the an alterego of Arcueid: http://www.hlj.com/product/ORC60011
I usually order with HLJ. Main problem I got with HobbyStock is that they won't accept different shipping and billing addresses, and that for me is a show-stopper (I do contract work).
Question: HLJ posts the Yuki as Alter while Hobbystock has it as Chara Ani. Are they the same company? Whats the difference, if any?

I think it works that Chara Ani commissions the artist to do the sculpt and the Alter handles production and shipping and the suchlike. It could also be that Chara Ani commissions it all from Alter, so really it's an Alter product in a Chara Ani branded container. Sort of like a Ford Focus is just a Mazda in a Ford wrapper… if car analogies work for you.
