Whaaat? Individual figure postings? RANDALL MUST HAVE LOST HIS SHIT! (Also, he was in a podcast… listen to it.) Now, now. I told you guys I was back on the… horse… wagon… or whatever. First up from Daibanchou, via Artstorm, is Shion. She is a cute little pink-haired, concerned girl that is going to lean. At least it certainly looks that way. Just the same, she looks pretty ok, not really my type though. Her stockings remind me of dots candy. The kind where you have candy dots on paper, and you always eat as much paper as candy… delicious. Anyway she's 1/7 scale and made of scale-based lies as she stands 200mm tall. Out in March for 6,800 yen.
Secondly, same show, same producer, but this time the character is Kyoudou Senna. Certainly you can tell French Doll laid hands on this one (the other was Sunny Day, both from Cerberus Project). French Doll is quickly becoming the new BOME with uninspired stuff like that. Still decent, but not one the lever. There's no HEART IN IT. She's 1/7 as well and 220mm tall. She will be out in March for 6,800 yen as well.
Now hit the jump for a couple of shots of each lady, give or take.
I'm sure that not too many of you here are huge Detroit Metal City fans, and that's ok. I'm not either. It sort of sicks me out in a sick and out sort of way. Anyway, MoonPhase had information that the next issue of Young Animal would feature an announcement to the effect that Detroit Metal City was getting both an anime and a live-action movie. Entirely possible, as it's a popular book, but the announcement has since been removed (which MoonPhase also notes). It could mean that the announcement was just premature or it could mean that the information was inaccurate and part of some right-wing conspiracy to lull the youth of today into a false sense of security.
But that's boring! In other news, I am in the latest Japanator podcast. And boy howdy was I censored to high fuck. It's amazing, really. I couldn't stop laughing every time it bleeped something I said. Pure comedic genius, the swear-bleep. Anyway, please listen to it and then GIVE ME PRAISE! Else I won't know you all really love me. Deep down in your pockets.
Well, MoonPhase is awash in delicious news. That's the second time I've said "awash" today. I think that's the upper limit. Anyway, news comes that both the mystery manga Bus Gamer and the light novel series Toshokan Sensou are getting anime adaptations. Studio Izena is going to be handling the animation duties for Bus Gamer, which promises… to… it doesn't promise anything. It has a rookie director as well. And it's out sometime next year.
The same MIGHT have been said for Toshokan Sensou, but it looks like Production I.G will be taking care of producing the anime and it is also due out next year. Yay for non-shit anime! YAAAAAY!
Now, I don't know how many of you dear readers are avid Japanese RPG fans, but I am assuming that at least a few of you have heard of Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3. It's really one of those amazing bits of story-telling that I love to come across. But enough about me, let's talk about you, Persona 3 anime. Soejima Shigenori, the game's character designer is staying on to create the anime characters, but I am a bit worried that Matsumoto Jun is helming the show as his first time directing anything more than episode spots. Still, there are some good names on board from shows like Darker than BLACK, Le Chevalier, and Ouran. Music from the guy who did Read or Die's music.
See what I did there? That's a pun. Why is it a pun? Well, because Hachimitsu to Clover is getting a TV drama adaptation. Namuri Riko is starring and… I don't know, I just really can't care about shoujo to begin with, let alone such a campy one as Hachimitsu to Clover. Now, don't get all up my ass about it. I'm sorry my testicles still produce testosterone. But even if they didn't, it's a TV drama, and I hate those too. I'm sure it will just dazzle all you ladies and closeted gay men out there.
Also, I'm not THAT lazy, there just wasn't shit worth posting yesterday. Except this. And I figured it could wait.
Alright, time to get back on the horse. Not that there's much a horse around here. Don't believe me? Well, just to prove it, I've got Carmen Sandiego on loop and it's not coming off loop until I'm done. Which may make things take longer actually. ROLLUP TIME! Oh yeah, the way this one will work, basically, anything that sucks gets a link and you can look for the date and price yourself. Fair? Fair.
Just when you thought you were done buying Haruhi figures… or when I was anyway, Chara-Ani comes out with this way-too-sexy set of production shots version of Yuki in a bathing suit. Some sort of golden god came down from on high and just fucking stole my future money. GIVE ME BACK MY FUTURE MONEY! She's 140mm tall and 5,040 yen and out in March.
Also of interest is their catgirl Yuki and Bunny Haruhi ver. 1.5. They're both out in February for 3,980 yen. Anyone else notice the unusually familiar production shot teaser image? Looks like some sexy Big Three production stuff. THIEVES!
NSFW: I just put NSFW. It's Demonbane. Need anything else described? The pictures will do. 1/7 scale (170mm and 200mm on the ladies, guess which is which), PVC, and for some reason 12,390 yen.
Crappy… is that Moetan or Manabi? I'm not looking at it. Trading figured. 10 piece 1BOX.
FINALLY! Some sexy Ikkitousen Ryomou. She gets a lot of figures, but they usually suck. This one isn't great, but at least it looks ok. And shiny. 7,800 yen in January.
Want super titties and super thights with twiggy arms? ME TOO! Oh Queen's Blade. How I love you. 200mm tall, 7,350 yen in February.
An uninspired pair from Good Smile. First up is Moetan. Really, it's just uninspired. The diorama is nice, but could have been done better, that is to say Moetan could have gotten some attention. 8,800 yen for a neglected Moetan in March.
Second is, as Gia called it, the least attractive succubus ever. Agreed. Tit diseases are no good. 5,800 yen in February.
The cute Eva Angel series! I will linkonewith each… I ran out of links.
ETNA! No one has done as good as BUBBA. No one will.
Eh, that'll do. You guys can live with that many, right? The other ones are all gay. I promise. Ending on the Kuro no Franco figure is certainly good enough. And she will be the banner. Mmmmm.
Yes, it's that time of year again. That glorious day when we all set off fireworks in hopes that one of them will spook the codgers in Parliament bad enough to give them all heart attacks, or at the very least a vomit-chain-reaction sort of thing, and so the Catholics will stop being mistreated. Also, I personally use it is a good time to re-watch V for Vendetta. Anyway, I've finally gotten caught up a bit on my anime. I'd forgotten what great fun it is. So let's Rollup some media. Oh, and I'll be on Japanator's podcast. It will be their best episode ever.
THIS JUST IN! GONZO and Nitro are making a new original show called BLASSREITER -genetic-, and the character designs will be by the guy who did Demonbane. Lots of big names involved anyway. It promises to be a badass bit of anime. More updates as the come in.
Takahashi "I'm-Incapable-Of-Ending-A-Story" Rumiko's boxing manga One-Pound Gospel is being turned into a live-action drama. Hurray! Unlike the story itself, it won't take the drama 20 years to come to an end. Nice work, Rumiko.
Cobra, a classic manga thingy, is getting an anime. Why? WHO KNOWS! The Japanese do what they want.
Mnemosyne -Mnemosyne no Imouto Tachi-, a new sci-fi things from Xebec and Genco, was announced. It's going to be an OVA looks like, or six episodes anyway, so might as well be an OVA. Also it'll be full 3DCG. The site looks quite intriguing.
Zenryoku Usagi, a mascot character thing, is getting an anime series. It'll be mixed into some other show, so no reason to get all excited.
And lastly, kure-nai has a first look thing up at the official website. That is to say, the background is now anime art instead of light novel art. Also there's a blog and some other things. Like a drama CD, links to the novel site, etc, etc. Very sexy stuff.
And that's it. I will do figures later tonight, and probably collapse under the weight of the amounts of trash that's getting released. AMAZINGLY BAD STUFF IN THERE. I might skip some things, just for time and quality sake.
Well, another hectic week. And even at that I have a meeting here shortly. Still, I had some chicken katsudon for lunch, so I am doin' ok. So let's get right to this websites coming online. First up, Junjo Romantica has a site online. That's some hardcore homo stuff right there. Well, softcore more likely. I didn't read the site for info… you can do that. Or someone can toss it in the comments.
Next! Elecking the Animation. Will it be the smash hit of the season? Good god, I hope not. Nasty 3D… nastiness.
Lastly, and most importantly, the site for the anime adaptation of Lacryma's true tears visual novel is online. The show is due out next year and actually has some nice looking art on the pre-open page.
