So! Drama fans will be pleased to hear that two books are getting the live action treatment. WildLife, which is the story of a delinquent who, as if by shitty story magic, turns into a veterinarian, is the first one that's set to get turned. No real information yet on when, or who will be in it. But who needs that shit anyway!
TBS is going to be carrying the adaptation of the manga Daisuki!! Yuzu no Kosodate Nikki. Now, let me explain the plot in my own crude idiom. A freaky retarded womanchild gets knocked up by a freaky retarded manchild, who dies; at this point, the tard with the vagina raises the baby herself. Probably the baby is retarded as well. I know, it's the height of entertainment. I guess so long as it helps people pretend like they really understand something… then it's awful. AWFUL! SHAAAAME! Karina, the model, will be starring. Starts January 17th.
I'm sure that not too many of you here are huge Detroit Metal City fans, and that's ok. I'm not either. It sort of sicks me out in a sick and out sort of way. Anyway, MoonPhase had information that the next issue of Young Animal would feature an announcement to the effect that Detroit Metal City was getting both an anime and a live-action movie. Entirely possible, as it's a popular book, but the announcement has since been removed (which MoonPhase also notes). It could mean that the announcement was just premature or it could mean that the information was inaccurate and part of some right-wing conspiracy to lull the youth of today into a false sense of security.
But that's boring! In other news, I am in the latest Japanator podcast. And boy howdy was I censored to high fuck. It's amazing, really. I couldn't stop laughing every time it bleeped something I said. Pure comedic genius, the swear-bleep. Anyway, please listen to it and then GIVE ME PRAISE! Else I won't know you all really love me. Deep down in your pockets.
See what I did there? That's a pun. Why is it a pun? Well, because Hachimitsu to Clover is getting a TV drama adaptation. Namuri Riko is starring and… I don't know, I just really can't care about shoujo to begin with, let alone such a campy one as Hachimitsu to Clover. Now, don't get all up my ass about it. I'm sorry my testicles still produce testosterone. But even if they didn't, it's a TV drama, and I hate those too. I'm sure it will just dazzle all you ladies and closeted gay men out there.
Also, I'm not THAT lazy, there just wasn't shit worth posting yesterday. Except this. And I figured it could wait.
Sorry guys, I'm in a bit of a funk these days. I'll try to catch some shit up. And I'll do some figure stuff soon. Not been a great week for me. Anyway! Enough about me and my problems! There's anime to be announced. The website for the live action adaptation of the Sakigake! Otoko Juku manga is online. It's due out in 2008, and for some crazy reason has both Japanese and English pages. Crazy because you guys suck!
Shougakukan's website has announce that two of its Weekly Young Jump manga titles are set to be made into live-action films scheduled to hit theaters sometime in 2008. The lucky two are Kurosagi, which follows… Kurosagi has he goes after a group that targeted his family. This one already had a TV show, so most of the people are coming on for the movie. Ikigami is about a policy where random lower class citizens are assigned an ikigami, which means they have 24 hours to live. SOUNDS UPBEAT! Anyway, Kurosagi is out summer of 2008 and Ikigami will hit in the fall of 2008. Aaaaannnd… that's about it.
I think I am nearing a point in time where I may literally laugh myself to death. Twentieth Century Fox has apparently green-lit a Dragon Ball Z live-action movie film. I can't even begin to imagine how they are planning to pull this one off. I think I'll be find with it as long as the aliens stay reasonable and they don't… like… replace Goku and that whole lot with teens who are on some mundane adventure. Also, they better not baby it up. I want some kick ass fight scenes, damnit. MAKE IT HAPPEN, FOX.
Well, you know, I've been chilling out max and relaxing all cool. Right, I'll stop that now. I'm going to go ahead fill you fuckers in on the news from the week. HOW DOES THAT SOUND?! It sounds good, doesn't it? Well, good. I'll go ahead and get going with that now. SEE?! I'm not dead! Just lazy on my week off.

Figures
- These were around forever ago, but it's POSABLES FROM SENGOKU RANCE! Yep. I don't think I feel like looking up info on them… Names and such. I used to know them. Nanjo is 8,190 yen and the other is 9,240 yen. They're out in August.
- In GOOD figure news, Furinji Miu from Tandem Twin is coming your way. Thank you, Capcom. I hadn't seen anything good this week, I was getting a bit weepy. HobbySearch has some good shots. Out in October for 5,800 yen.
- In the same series, same price, same month, Capcom is giving us Kosaka Shigure. She isn't as good looking to me as Furinji, but still! STILL! 5,800 yen in October.
Yessir, that was a good quick rollup. Glad this week was sort of slim. LETS ME BE LAZY! YAY! I wish I could just be lazy for forever. FOREVER! Yeaaah, just trying to fill space. Ok, I'm done.
Well, there hadn't been any live action adaptations recently, but for fans of that sort of thing today is your day. Since they're not terribly information heavy, LET'S BLOW THROUGH THEM!
First up, Cutie Honey is getting a live action series. It starts on TV Tokyo at 1 AM on October 2nd. Yessir. Hara Mikie will be playing Cutie Honey.
Number two! Yoichi Sai is doing a live action movie adaptation of Kamui Gaiden. It starts shooting in November and will likely be out in 2009. Matsuyama Kenichi will be play the lead. He was L in the Death Note movies.
THIRD! The buttfuckery novel Soshite, Harukaze ni Sasayaite is getting turned into a live-action movie. The particular book is part of a series of books known as Takumi-kun. Might help you place it mentally… I guess.
Lastly, if you're into chicks learning to sing, you'll be happy to know that the manga Pride is getting a live-action film. No word yet on dates or anything, but Sony is taking auditions for the film. Isn't that fun? Opera sure is the best.
Oh man, oh man. This is too good. There's now a homepage up for the live-action Negima series that's in the works. Yes, they have a picture of the cast up. YOU WILL ENJOY IT! I know I did. I'm still laughing at it. Looks like that have a number of really young chicks out front there, and they hid all the old chicks in the back. Haha. Oh man. Wonderful. I don't see any robots in there. This might not be a very faithful adaptation. Hit the site to join in the fun. They chick in the middle of the middle row looks like she got the short end of the genetic stick. Maybe she shouldn't smile. And then third in from the left on the middle row. INTENSE! Oh man, I could do this all day. Make sure you click the profile link in the top right there. It gets better.
