• Yatterman, some crap-o-licious old anime, is getting remade and is getting the "Golden Timeslot" in Japan. It's like I can hear Patrick Macias get a nasty old man boner all the way over here.
• Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei is getting a second season. AIN'T THAT SEXY?! I came. None of you understand the genius of that show. Fakers.

• Daiki is doing a 1/4 scale Majikina Mina. These initial proto shots look really good… and Daiki is a generally trustworthy company… I don't know that I completely trust this initial shots though. Let's wait an see. She might end up being worth the 23,100 yen this January.
• NEXT! From Akane Maniax, via CharaAni, comes… Samba version Akane. She looks pretty good… bodysuit is a bit odd. Anyway, she's 1/7 scale, 230mm tall and will run you 8,190 yen this January.
• Continuing along, from Yotsunoha, is Nono-chan! She's not really that great looking which is understandable with her coming from Toys Planning. She's 6,500 yen, out in November, and stands 180mm tall.

• An anime based on the Hooray For Fish picture books is in the works. It'll be called Suisui! Fizi! and it is set to hit the NHK on October 4th.
• Kimi ga Nozomu Eien's upcoming OVA, Haruka Route, has gone and gotten itself dated. The OVA is due out on the 21st of December. GOOD END?
• Remember that live action Negima abomination? Well, there's a trailer online for it. That's right. 31 flavors of nasty faces. WOO!
• In an effort to stop a wave of axe murdering 14-year-old girls, Japan's broadcasters preempted the broadcast of both Higurashi and School Days episodes. So, to explain, some loopy 14-year-old twat axe murdered her rapist father after she couldn't take the abuse anymore. Therefore, figuring that the episodes of anime might upset people (at 2 and 3 in the morning) they pulled them. Now, beside the fact that anything you watch at 2am, you watch on purpose, is there some writ that says that no one can ever be upset by anything? Moreover, had EVERYONE in Japan recently had an axe murder in the family? If not, why would they be upset about animated violence? I really don't understand this sensitivity bullshit. Especially when it cuts into people's entertainment for no valid reason.
• Tower of Druaga's game and anime sites have been put online. Inventive URLs. Good work, GONZO.
• And if you're like me and can't get enough of 3D CG anime, then you will want to check out the website for Hoshi no Umi no Amuri ~ Amuri in Star Ocean. It's a fully CG sci-fi/action flick OVA thing. You can catch some footage on the site. The first DVD hits on November 13th, the second on February 22nd, and the third on June 27.

• A new .hack//G.U. OVA is in the works. It's set to be three episodes and 85 minutes long. I'm not sure if that's total or per disc. The undying series will see the first disc of this OVA released on January 25th. It'll be out on both Blu-ray and DVD. There will be a PV for it at TGS this week.
• Trailer: There's a nico^2 video up for the upcoming anime for Saishuu Shiken Kujira. The anime is based on an eroge. A good one. So be sure to check out the promo.

• For some reason, and maybe I'm off base here, Tobey McGuire's (Spiderman) production company has picked up the rights for a live action Robotech. No, not Macross. Robotech. Now, while a Robotech movie could avoid being total garbage (maybe), my main concern here is… was Tobey McGuire really that geeky? Yeah, he was Spidey, but poorly and that is just a movie roll. We should be marking our celebrities so that we know who we can trust when they jump all over some property we like. I'm looking at you James Cameron.
• Trailer: There's a trailer for the Prism Ark anime online. I was please to see that they released it in true eroge style and slapping an .mpg inside of an LZH file. • Oh, this is fun. There's a new Tamagotchi feature film in the works. It's not something you hear much in the US, but them Japs is crazy for Tamagotchi. I'll never understand it. That is all I care to relate about it.
• The upcoming anime Hatara Kiss Maihamu-gumi has had its website put online. If you're having trouble imagining what this should could be about, try imagining an anime version of Chip n' Dale's Rescue Rangers, only step the anthropomorphism up a notch or eight. Yeah, it's pretty terrifying.
